Val Gardena, situated in the midst of the South Tyrolean Dolomites, offers its wintersports guests an impressive mountain world with perfectly prepared downhill slopes for skiers. At the same time there are also well traced trails for cross-country skiing as well as rapid fun parks for snowboarders. The skiing areas of the Sella Group, the Langkofel or the Alpe di Siusi are provided with 81 lifts which can easisly be used by the Dolomiti Superski card.
In Val Gardena a total of 175 kilometres with downhill slopes of all degrees of difficulties are available to the winter sportsmen. They spread on 50 km with blue easy slopes and 100 km with red moderately severe slopes. The remaining 25 kilometres are difficult black slopes which demand very good knowledge and high abilities in skiing the dolomites. A special challenge is the Sella Ronda, a circular ski route around the Sellagroup. Val Gardena and the Alpe di Siusi are part of the Dolomiti Superski skipass which enables the owners the immediate access to all lifts and a total of 1220 kilometres of downhill slopes within 13 different skiing resorts.
